When you add up what its entertainment components would cost you separately, the HP Pavilion HDX’s price is right where it should be. If you’re in the market for a home PC that can double as an entertainment hub, this behemoth is worth a look.

Ports include Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 connectors, FireWire, and eSATA. For communication, you’ll find Wi-Fi wireless (supporting 802.11a/b/g/n) and a 56Kbps modem; our review unit lacked Eurocom’s optional Bluetooth card.

Speaking of future U-Series notebooks, Asus will be releasing another 13.3-inch version of this machine, as well as 14-inch and 15.6-inch models in the next few months.
